Family Court Strategy – Apply to be an Associate

Share Your Experience. Support Others. Make a Difference.

At Family Court Strategy, we believe that those who have navigated the family court system bring an invaluable perspective. Our mission is to make the process clearer, fairer, and less intimidating for those who must represent themselves — and experienced litigants can play a key role in that mission.

We’re inviting applications from individuals with first-hand experience of the family court process to join us as Associates — helping others by sharing your insight, empathy, and understanding.

What the Role Involves

As an Associate, you’ll provide non-legal, experience-based guidance to individuals preparing for or involved in family court proceedings. You will:

  • Offer informed, practical support based on your own lived experience.
  • Help clients feel more confident, prepared, and emotionally supported.
  • Contribute to a growing national network of knowledgeable, ethical, and compassionate advisors.

This is not a formal legal advisory role — Associates do not give legal advice or represent clients in court. Instead, you provide clarity, reassurance, and insight based on your real-world understanding of the system.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who:

  • Have personal experience of the family court process (as a self-represented litigant or party to proceedings).
  • Are empathetic, respectful, and able to communicate clearly.
  • Can maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Want to use their experience to make a positive difference for others.

Experience in advocacy, mediation, or support work is welcome but not essential. Full guidance and induction are provided.

Remuneration and Flexibility

We understand that flexibility matters. Associates work on a self-employed, flexible basis, with opportunities to contribute remotely or in person, depending on your circumstances and availability.

Remuneration is competitive and flexible, reflecting your level of involvement, experience, and the nature of the support you provide. We’ll discuss this transparently during the onboarding process.

What You’ll Gain

Becoming an Associate gives you the opportunity to:

  • Use your experience to help others in a meaningful, structured way.
  • Be part of a supportive, ethical community of like-minded individuals.
  • Access ongoing training, peer collaboration, and resources.
  • Develop your communication, mentoring, and advisory skills.

How to Apply

If you’re interested in joining us as an Associate, please email a CV to:
contact@familycourtstrategy.co.uk

Include a brief note telling us:

  • A summary of your experience with the family court system.
  • Why you’d like to become an Associate with Family Court Strategy.
  • Any relevant experience in mentoring, advocacy, or peer support.

Once we receive your application, we’ll be in touch to arrange an informal discussion about the role, expectations, and next steps.

Please note that successful applicants will be required to undergo a structured vetting and onboarding process before initiating the role.

A Shared Purpose

By becoming an Associate, you’ll be joining a growing initiative dedicated to improving understanding and confidence within the family court system. Your insights can help others face the process with greater clarity, dignity, and hope.

Together, we can create a more informed, supportive, and fair experience for everyone navigating the family courts.
